Audio Window
Local Audio control
The window for the audio control is activated/deactivated through the Window menu or with the toolbar general icon.
The Audio Control window:
With this dialog window, it is possible to adjust audio volume of an easymeeting™ session. Moving the cursor marked with “Output”, it is possible to regulate the volume of the audio received through the speakers or headphones (to modify if it is too low, or too high). With the cursor marked with “Input” it is possible to regulate the volume of your own audio input of the microphone (to be modified if the other users note that our voice is too high or too low). Level 1 is the indicator that shows the percentage of volume of your voice.
By ticking “Audio alert” the level of the alert sends an advising sound into easymeeting™: for example, when you receive a message from another user you will hear a sound.
The headphone/earphone icon indicates that the Advanced Configuration of the Client Configurator is the selected open related to the Echo Cancellation (more info). When the headphones are not included, you can select “automatic volume control” (see the figure below) and then you can use the echo cancellation that is integrated into the system.
The
echo canceller does not replace an echo cancellation hardware (recommended
solution for a meeting) but is suitable to use at an unexpected “desk” for all
situations when there is more than one participant in front of the same PC, in a
small office or with a silent background atmosphere.
Remote Audio control
This window is only available to the Supervisor and allows you to control both the volume of the microphone and the volume of the speakers/headphones of each participant in the meeting; the function is activated by the Remote Audio Control. The window of the remote audio control is activated/deactivated through the Windows menu.
Analyze the Remote Audio Control window:
The supervisor selects a user from the list at the right (field 3 of the image) and then clicks on the button marked by the number 1 to capture the settings of this user. Using the two fields “Output” and “Input” (field 2 of the image) are then sending the modifications (button 4) to the user, who can modify:
6. ”Output”: the volume of the headphones/earphones of the remote user;
7. “Input”: the volume of the microphone of the remote user.
In this way the Supervisor can have a true direct volume of the participant, to align the volume heard by each and to prevent one participant from having a higher/lower voice than the others.
